Creating Beauty That Reflects More Than Style

Every brush stroke begins with care. Every tool, with intention.
At Olivia Garden Europe, we believe that true beauty goes beyond the mirror; it reflects how we treat the planet we share.

That is why we have conducted our second carbon footprint report, mapping our environmental impact in 2024 and comparing it to our first carbon footprint report done in 2021.

Understanding Our Environmental Impact

Understanding our footprint means looking at every step of our journey, from the materials we source to the way our tools travel the world.

Our 2024 assessment revealed a total of 3,378 tons of CO₂e emitted, which is roughly equivalent to what 135,000 trees absorb in their lifetime.

The distribution of our emissions shows where we can make the greatest impact:

  • 47 % of emissions come from materials and services purchased, including plastics, rubbers and metals.
  • 11 % come from travel.
  • 8 % come from packaging.
  • 6.5 % come from freight.
  • 3.5 % come from direct energy use such as heating, lighting and electricity.

The findings underline that most of our environmental impact happens across the supply chain that brings Olivia Garden tools to professionals everywhere. Although these impacts occur beyond our walls, we hold ourselves accountable for them and are working to drive positive change throughout our network.

Measuring Our Progress in Numbers

To understand how our company is evolving, we compared key metrics from our first assessment in 2021 with our most recent data from 2024.

In 2021, Olivia Garden Europe emitted 97,663 kgCO₂e per employee and 0.20 kgCO₂e per euro of revenue.
In 2024, these values decreased to 88,897 kgCO₂e per employee and 0.17 kgCO₂e per euro of revenue.

This represents a 9 percent reduction in relative emissions per employee and a 15 percent reduction per euro generated, despite significant growth during the same period.
Our team increased from 29 to 38 employees, and our revenue rose from 14.1 million euros to 19.9 million euros, yet we became more efficient in how we use resources.

These results show that growth and responsibility can progress together when sustainability is integrated into every stage of our work.

Progress in Motion: Growing Responsibly

Between 2021 and 2024, Olivia Garden Europe expanded significantly. We welcomed a larger team, increased our production capacity and strengthened our international presence.

Throughout this evolution, we improved our carbon productivity. The reductions in carbon intensity per employee and per euro of revenue demonstrate that efficiency and environmental responsibility can coexist.

This progress confirms that sustainability is not a constraint but an opportunity to innovate smarter and operate more consciously.

Designing a More Sustainable Future

Our carbon footprint report is not a final outcome. It is a roadmap that points us toward meaningful action.

The next steps in our sustainability journey include:

  • increasing the share of recycled materials in our tools
  • developing packaging with lower environmental impact
  • improving logistics to reduce emissions
  • adopting more responsible travel practices for our teams

For us, sustainability is part of our creative DNA.
It fuels the same spirit that drives our innovations for hair professionals worldwide.
