Olivia Garden at the 1st Haircon salon in Manchester

As mentioned, we aim to grow in the UK market, get closer to UK hairdressers, and really understand their needs. Thus, it was obvious for us to participate in the first Haircon salon, which took place in Manchester from June 22nd to June 24th.

What to remember from this weekend?

The salon took place at the O2 Manchester, a typical old Manchester factory converted into a venue for various events – including Haircon now.
Many brands were there to showcase their products and participate in some stage, such as discussing sustainability.

On our stand, you could have found many of our hairbrush best-sellers such as the Fingerbrush, the Expert Blowout Shine, the Expert Blowout Speed, the Expert Care Rectangular, the Expert Style Up, and the Essential Style Blend. Also, a lot of our scissors range – such as the Xtreme, the SilkCut, and the SilkCut Pro.

Three hairdressers—Amie, Louise, and Victoria—supported us and explained all our products to the hairdressers. The hairdressers could even try the products on a doll head or get a haircut if they wished.

What happened?

We met many of you during these three days and could have discussed hairdressing, tools, etc. It was so great to meet all of you and talk about everything and nothing.

Two of the highlights of this weekend were the stage presence of one of our ambassadors, Anne Veck, who talked with her husband, Keith Mellen, about sustainability and how to combine hairdressing and green practices. If you want to learn more about it, make sure to have a look at her website.

The other highlight is the stage presence of Nadia, team leader of our Community & Communication department. She also talked about sustainability as a company producing hairdressing products, accompanied by other experts from the industry.

What about next year?

We hope to return next year to continue improving our presence in the UK market, meet all of you, and chat about hairdressing.

In the meantime, you can find us at Salon International in London from October 12th to 14th. You will meet more of the team, the hairdressers, many more of our products, and probably some other surprises!
